In the first book in the Mysterious Sightings series, readers will follow twelve-year-old Rita Callaway and her younger sister Ashley on a string of adventures centered around their discovery of a baby mermaid on the Alaskan beach near their grandmother’s home. With a few laughs along the way the girls find that sometimes caring for a mythical creature isn’t as hard as caring for each other.

In the second Mysterious sightings book, readers will follow twelve-year-old Ethan Green through a series of adventures in which Ethan discovers a baby bat-dragon in an Arkansas cave near his foster home. With a bit of trouble, our hero learns that everyone deserves a forever home, even cranky little cave dwellers. Set in a fictional town in the Ozark Mountains readers will also get a glimpse of what it is like to live in the Natural State.
